What a weekend!

Wow. I'm so glad last week and weekend are over. Trey has started his on-call stuff for the rail road and last week was riding a train into Hearne. So, when he'd come into town, seeing as it's only 17 miles from our house.... I'd go pick him up. Now mind you, Union Pacific can't tell time, and know when a wife and kids are sleeping. Throughtout the week, I picked up and dropped him off all hours of the day and night. It was great to see him.... but tiring! Then, Friday night we had to go to a rehearsal dinner for the wedding Trey and Brayton were in on Saturday. That was a mess... at least getting Trey there. He left on a train from Hearne and only made it to the other side of Plantersville- which is only about a 45 min drive- in 13 hours!!!! I ended up having to go pick him up around 2 or 3pm because there was no way he was going to make it back to Spring, get his car, and be back in Bryan by 5:30. That night, we left the kids at their pa paw's house and I (yes me) went with the guys for the bachelor party. I think I wasn't invited for fun... just to be the DD. But hey, it was fun. Saturday, we have lots to do before the wedding. I had to get my nails done, buy something nice to wear (I figured with Brayton in the wedding that I was going to be in pictures I didn't want to be in... so I'd better look nice.), Trey and Brayton had to get hair cuts and we had to eat something. Not to mention showers and actually getting ready. So, in true Davis fashion.... we were running late. I woke Brayton from a quick nap on the way to the park and he was NOT happy. Once dressed, he tried yanking off the tux, crying and screaming the whole way. I asked Anson to hold the jacket and he tried putting it on.... so off to the suburban we went. Time to call in the stunt double- Anson. I put him in the tux (don't forget they're 2 years apart here!), cinched up all the stuff I could, rolled up the cuffs of the jacket, pinned on the roses and he was ready to go! He didn't want to carry the pillow at first, but I asked him to take it to daddy- the best man- and he did just that! I also asked him to take the flower girl.... who was now crying... also. He took her hand , she quit crying and he was on the road! He did such a great job!
I'm adding pics of that and some detail pics that I took of wedding stuff. I'm a HUGE fan of detail pictures... that and I had to try out my new camera!! Bought 1 hour before the wedding was SUPPPOSED to start :D

Cantalope anyone?

So my good friends tell me that I need to start a blog... Cool idea. I've been thinking about it anyway. I tell them that I'll get it started today... little did I know I'd have something so fun to start it with...

My sweet little Anson- never watched a Gallagher show in his short little 2 year life... became that man's son today. See, I have locks on my 2 fridges for reasons JUST like this. However, I have the 2 smartest boys and my baby has figured out how to get around one of them. Today, he got the VERY ripe cantalope out of the fridge and proceeded to share it with his friends- his brother, and 3 of the kids I watch at home. He took said cantalope to his room and picked his weapon of choice- a plastic hammer that goes to a work bench given to us by their "Uncle." How did this tool/outside toy get in the house? I don't ask anymore. Anyway, he takes the hammer and begins to bash the innerds out of this cantalope. Apparently every other toddler in the house thought it was a hella cool idea too... because they were all in on it. I had to give 3 of the 5 baths.

Here's the results.... Please notice that while I'm taking pictures of the mess, Anson is STILL murdering the cantalope.
